Brian Alwine

Brian Alwine has more than 20 years of business valuation and advisory experience. He advises attorneys, business owners, investors, accountants, and other professionals on complex valuation matters involving closely held businesses, ownership interests, startups, and investment funds.
Known for his ability to quickly understand the broader business and financial issues surrounding a valuation, Brian brings a practical, clear, and responsive approach to his work. He focuses on making complex valuation concepts understandable and helping clients and their advisors identify the issues that matter most to their decisions.
Brian's practice spans valuations for estate and gift planning, partner and family business buyouts, financial reporting, tax planning and reporting, litigation support, and strategic transactions. He has valued businesses ranging from early-stage startups to large, complex enterprises across a wide variety of industries and regularly works with clients throughout the U.S. and internationally.
Prior to joining Redwood Valuation, Brian began his career at Crowe. He later founded the valuation firm ClarityBV, which he subsequently sold to Kruggel Lawton, and most recently practiced with Hill Barth & King before joining Redwood. Both KL and HBK were members of the BDO Alliance, where Brian was an active participant and presenter.
Brian is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and an Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA) in Business Valuation through the American Society of Appraisers. He earned a B.S. in Business Administration from Indiana University South Bend.
