Kay Packard

Kay has almost 15 years of business valuation experience, specializing in valuations for financial reporting, tax reporting, and corporate planning purposes. She has performed a number of valuations including equity valuations with complex capital structures (ASC 718/409A), intangible asset valuations/purchase price allocations (ASC 805), impairment analysis (ASC 350 and 360), valuations for estate and gift reporting, and acquisitions and pre-transaction valuation analyses, encompassing a broad range of industries.

Prior to joining Redwood Valuation, Kay worked in the valuation practices of BDO, LLP and Moss Adams, LLP. Kay is fluent in Japanese and serviced clients with global operations, particularly subsidiaries of Japanese companies, on various valuation matters. Kay has also worked as an adjunct faculty at Albers School of Business & Economics at Seattle University, teaching business valuation courses at Albers’ graduate program.

Kay is a CFA Charterholder. She received a BA in Finance and International Business from Seattle University and a Masters in Finance from Seattle University.
